Local teen and masters CrossFit athletes qualify for 2024 CrossFit Games
CrossFit Barrington athletes earn top spots and advance to compete in the 2024 CrossFit Games.
Forty-five-year-old David Crosson and 17-year-old Holden Boone, a rising senior at Cary-Grove High School, are advancing to the 2024 CrossFit Games in September.
The CrossFit Games, known for being the ultimate proving grounds for the fittest on Earth, is a multiday competition where athletes compete in a series of world renowned fitness tests to find the fittest on earth.
Athletes from 120 countries train year round for strength, speed, endurance and skill and compete in preliminary competitions to earn one of 40 spots in their age division in order to advance to The CrossFit Games. C
rosson, a masters athlete, one of 20 Americans competing in his age group and Boone, a teen athlete, one of eight Americans and the only Illinois qualifier will both compete over Labor Day weekend.
The events can be viewed live in Birmingham, Alabama and Kalamazoo, Michigan, or on The CrossfitGames YouTube channel and YouTube TV.
