22 breweries set to pour at Long Grove Craft Beer Fest

Historic downtown Long Grove will once again transform into the suburb's biggest beer garden for Craft Beer Fest later this month.

The annual festival is an homage to Long Grove's beer-loving history, with 22 breweries - the event's biggest representation to date - set to pour from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 30.

In addition to unlimited 3 oz. tastes, Craft Beer Fest also features live music and local food options, including Chicago Culinary Kitchen and Buddyz Pizzeria.

"We're thrilled to bring back our first big festival of the year after postponing the last couple seasons due to the pandemic," said Ryan Messner, a spokesperson with Craft Beer Fest's organizing group, the Historic Downtown Long Grove Business Association.

"This is the tasting experience of the year in one of Illinois' most historic towns."

Long Grove's backdrop helps set this beer festival apart from the rest. The event gives ticketholders the opportunity to visit any brewer's station as much as they'd like to sample freshly brewed suds and get brewing wisdom from the pourer. Beers, ciders and local wines will be featured.

The event takes place in the Stempel Parking Lot in front of Buffalo Creek Brewing, 360 Historical Lane, Long Grove.

Tickets are $50 for full access and $10 for nondrinkers or designated drivers. The $10 option includes unlimited water. All attendees, including nondrinkers, must be 21 or older.
