Co-founders of Prairie Food Co-op, Jerry and Kathy Nash talk about how they're preparing to build out the shopping center space for DuPage County's first community owned grocery store in Lombard. Co-op owners will enjoy discounts and other perks when the store is up and running. But anyone will be able to shop there. The layout of the Prairie Food store also will look a lot like a conventional grocer’s. Produce will be displayed near the entrance. There will be a meat department, a deli and a spirits section.
