Playhouse 38 to present the comedy ‘Blithe Spirit’ Aug. 16-18

Tickets are now on sale for the adult comedic performance of “Blithe Spirit” on Aug. 16-18 at Playhouse 38, Geneva Park District’s community theater.

A smash comedy hit, this much revived classic concerns a man whose domestic life is disturbed by the jealous ghost of his first wife.

This show is directed by Christine Retzer and stars Rachael Kay Albers, Kailey Christine, Cana Jones, Blake Malley, Rebekah Pershing, Nickolena Sellen, and Carrie Surges.

“Playhouse 38’s revival production of ‘Blithe Spirit’ is going to be wonderful!” Retzer says. “I’m so lucky to be able to work with such an incredibly talented cast. We’ve really outdone ourselves with this show, and I highly recommend coming out to see it live in the theater this August. You won’t want to miss this one,” she adds.

Performances are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 day-of. Concessions will be available for purchase, including alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, popcorn and candy. The recommended age for audiences is age 13 or older.

Individuals are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at GenevaParks.org/Playhouse or in person at Sunset Community Center or Stephen Persinger Recreation Center
