ChildServ receives $69,240 in holiday donations for children at risk

ChildServ, a nonprofit dedicated to building better lives for children, received donations totaling $69,240 for its annual Holiday Gift Drive, providing toys, books and clothes to more than 1,100 children in the organization's care.

"This year's Holiday Gift Drive was the most successful in agency history," said Dan Kotowski, president and CEO of ChildServ. "We are truly grateful for the incredible support and kindness of our donors, ensuring that our children experienced the love and joy of the holidays."

ChildServ's 2017 Holiday Gift Drive featured contributions from 63 individuals and community, corporate and faith partners from across Chicago, who donated gifts for children, teens and young adults, ranging in age from newborn to 24 years old.

The event's success also was made possible through the generosity and hard work of 125 volunteers - from corporations such as United Airlines and Power Construction, LLC., and faith communities like First United Methodist Church of La Grange and Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago - who shared their time and talent wrapping and organizing presents for delivery to the children in ChildServ's care.
