A man killed Monday when a Metra commuter train struck a car in Ingleside has been identified at Randy Koppen, 70, of McHenry.

An autopsy showed Koppen died from blunt-force injuries suffered in the crash, according to the Lake County Coroner’s Office.

The crash occurred about 7:35 a.m. Monday near Larkin Lane and Wilson Road. First responders from the Fox Lake Fire Protection District and Lake County Sheriff’s Office found a Chevrolet Impala off the roadway with heavy damage, authorities said.
