Vintage Days to expand to multiple spots in Long Grove

The annual Vintage Days festival is expanding for its 2024 return to Long Grove on Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28.

The event, which has grown in popularity over the last few years, will now take place in multiple locations throughout historic Long Grove, including Brothers’ Field in the heart of town and the surrounding parkland area as well as the former site along Robert Parker Coffin Road.

The family-friendly event will still feature all things vintage, reclaimed, handmade, upcycled, antique and re-purposed in an open-air marketplace but will also include historical tours, timeless live music, classic games and much more.

In addition to at least 30 vintage and handcrafted vendors, Vintage Days 2024 will feature interactive activities for all ages. Starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, the introduction of the Vintage Days “speakeasy” will be held at Brothers’ Field, with craft vendors and plenty of cold libations.

On Sunday, a Penny Carnival will be held from noon to 2 p.m. in front of the Historical Society farmhouse, with simple games geared toward the younger kids run by older kids. It’s only a penny a game and everyone is guaranteed to win.

Families can likewise participate in a Vintage Days historical scavenger hunt, where they’ll use clues to find at least three of the historic sites around town and take photos while they’re there. Participants will have a chance to win free tickets to play more games at the penny carnival and be entered into a raffle for Long Grove treats.
