Pulse Technology, a technology company serving the IT, Managed Print Services, and other needs of businesses throughout the Midwest rewarded many of the company’s top-performing employees from Illinois and Indiana for their 2023 contributions with a weeklong getaway to Hawaii in February. The company’s “President’s Club" provides incentive vacations every year. This year’s recipients included Brandon Cork, Mildret Delgadillo, Nicole Miceli and Al Phillips of Illinois along with Pat Allendorf, Joelle Christie, Greg Fox, Matt Jessen, Jen Kirka, Nancy Mathena, Sandy Weiand and Dan Zimmerman, all of Indiana, and President Chip Miceli and his wife, Terry. The City of Batavia accepted the American Public Works Association Fox Valley Branch Project of the Year Award in the environment category for less than $5 million for its Water Treatment Plant Modifications. The project, built by Whittaker Construction and Excavating, Inc., was designed and managed by Engineering Enterprises, Inc. The Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce and Elgin Mayor David Kaptain joined Ascension St. Joseph Hospital Elgin CEO Eva Balderrama and her team at a ribbon cutting performed by the new Da Vinci surgical robot. Already performing surgeries, the new robotic surgical system uses a minimally invasive surgical approach that leads to briefer hospital stays and faster recovery for the patients.
