Elk Grove Village officials attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony April 11 at Cefalù Seaside Sicilian Restaurant to celebrate its one-year anniversary. Located at 1180 W. Devon Ave., Cefalù specializes in authentic Sicilian cuisine, fresh pasta, seafood, and cocktails. The restaurant is open Tuesdays through Sundays and features a modern interior, outdoor seating on the patio, and a private room for celebrations.

The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce awarded $5,000 in scholarships to six local high school students during its Lauren Brown Memorial Scholarship Awards Luncheon April 25, hosted by the BACC Women’s Biz Net at Biltmore Country Club in North Barrington. Scholarship recipients are: Quentin Muhs, Hannah Fors, Avery McAllister, AJ Frey, Rylan Anselm and Olivia Felfle.
