The Geneva Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Randall Pointe Dental, 1000 S. Randall Road, Suite 200, in Geneva May 24. Dr. Kavita Nana cut the ribbon held by Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns, and Nana’s husband, Dr. Karan Nana. They were surrounded by friends, family, staff, Geneva chamber staff and ambassadors, as well as chamber board members and members.

Palatine's Women Empowered Businesses networking group recently awarded $1,000 college scholarships to two newly graduated high school seniors. Kaelin Bertrand, of Palatine High School, right, and Melia Bohrer, of Fremd High School, accepted their award at WEB's annual scholarship fundraiser May 16.

The Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce along with many residents celebrated the grand opening of Macy’s in Bloomingdale. General Manager Jenna Pardini cut the ribbon surrounded by her leadership team. Macy’s presented a $5,000 check to Fellowship Housing, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping single mothers find affordable housing.

The Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, staff, and South Elgin village Trustees Jim Breunlin and Greg Lieser joined the ribbon cutting and grand reopening of Minuteman Press, South Elgin’s new printing and copying center at 460 Briargate Drive, Suite 800. This franchise is owned by a local family and offers a comprehensive array of customizable products and services.

Fox Lake McDonald’s at 40 S. Route 12 reopened May 30 after being torn down and rebuilt. The new structure is longer, taller, wider, more modern and open 24 hours.
