‘Be You’ Rock Hunt returns to downtown St. Charles with more prizes

The St. Charles Business Alliance’s “Be You” Rock Hunt on Aug. 9 allows participants a chance to win a bag of gifts from local businesses valued at more than $30.

Starting at 9 a.m., participants can find a painted “Be You” rock hidden in downtown St. Charles between Fifth Street and Fifth Avenue.

This year, the number of rocks has increased from 10 to 20 to give individuals additional opportunities to locate one. Participants who have found one of the rocks will be able to redeem it at the St. Charles Municipal Building, 2 E. Main St., St. Charles, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. The individual who is first to return a rock to the St. Charles Municipal Building will receive a grand prize valued at over $150.

The painted “Be You” rocks can be found anywhere outside in downtown St. Charles. The event will continue until all the rocks are located. Updates on when the hunt concludes, or the status of the number of remaining rocks can be found on the St. Charles Business Alliance’s Facebook and Instagram @stcalliance. Only one rock may be submitted per person.

“We are so excited to see the growth of the ‘Be You’ Rock Hunt with the addition of even more rocks that will be hiding throughout downtown,” said St. Charles Business Alliance Executive Director Jenna Sawicki. “Our hope is that everyone has a wonderful time participating in this end-of-summer celebration and has the chance to stop by some of the incredible local businesses we have in St. Charles.”
