Lake effect snow showers should continue through the morning, before tapering off in the afternoon, the National Weather Service is reporting.
The snow could be heavy at times, causing areas of limited visibility.
The snow should continue through the morning, with accumulations ranging from a dusting to an inch in most areas.
Scattered light snow showers could continue across portion of Lake and Cook counties through mid-afternoon.
